How It Works
We fetch the gold spot price (XAU/USD) from international commodity data sources every hour. This price is the global benchmark — the same figure used by banks, jewelers and commodity traders worldwide.
From the spot price, we calculate prices for each karat purity by multiplying by the karat's gold fraction: 24K = 100%, 22K = 91.67%, 18K = 75%, and so on. Weight unit prices are then derived by multiplying the per-gram price by the unit's gram equivalent.
Currency conversion uses real-time exchange rate data from the European Central Bank via the Frankfurter API. Exchange rates update alongside gold prices every hour.
